Allium, is the flower of the Allium plant. Ornamental Allium come in many different forms, the colors are mainly in white/ purple.
The diameter of the flower head of the large Allium can reach 20cm. It has one flower head on one stem with globular inflorescence, and countless small flowers are scattered like fireworks, shape like a flower ball. The large Allium is easy to be flattened and has a missing surface. Just hold the stem and turn its hands like a bamboo dragonfly, and the flower will return to a spherical shape.
The small size Allium are like mini versions of Allium, with straight young stems, and the stems are thin and flexible. Generally, the diameter of the small Allium’s flower head is about 5cm, quite a comparison. There is also a kind of small size Allium with an irregular stem, called bullet Allium in Chinese. Because of the unique shape of the flower stem, it is very common in Japanese flower arrangements.
During maintenance, the normal amount of water is sufficient, and there will be a pungent taste of onions when cutting the flower stem.
