Skimmia is a kind of shrub, commonly red/ green. The flower shape of Skimmia is a bit like Osmanthus, so it is also called “Mountain Osmanthus”. The inflorescences of Skimmia are clustered terminally, with yellowish-white florets densely at the top.
The shape of unflowered Skimmia is similar to coral, which is very high-end, and it is an imported flower material, so it is quite expensive. When handling Skimmia, there is often a distinct aroma which is a pleasant scent.
The Skimmia is a branch and fruit flower material with a very long viewing period. At Christmas, there will be Skimmia dyed with gold, silver or copper color on the market which is a special flower material with very high plasticity.
